Hee hee. I've been trying to sneak out of work early for the last couple of days so I could get home in time to read a bit more of this.
I think my favorite moment was Laura discovering the viper in her pocket.
It has to be a bit of challenge to keep up the tension in an episodic drama; you kept me reading to the end.

Ah, I've been following this story both on LJ and here, reading sometimes 5 chapters at once... I love the way you did it and I love Elizabeth- ypu described the perfect daughter Bill and Laura could have had! Before the BSG finale last year I did not like AU stories, but now I cherish everything that gives Laura the chance to live.... and, by the way, does she live? I mean... I didn't fully understand if the cancer has really been beaten for good or, like in the canon, may come back... Or maybe we will find out in the epilogue you are planning?
Where do I start? First of all, another time where I wish I could offer "Loved" as my opinion option. This has been a keeper from start to finish just the prequel story.
Elizabeth is an amazing charcter that we love from the start and at the end, respect because she is the best of both of her parents. I love how you use Billy in this story, that is something fun to watch.
You weave in all the Tauron subculture stuff well and I like the journey you weave not just for Bill and Laura but for Laura herself.
When you've taken time to bask in the accomplishment, go through it again. There are a few typos here and there I think you'll want to fix.
To quote one of my other favorite shows, "The West Wing", "What's next?"

Bugs, thank you so much for this great series. I was very leery of Elizabeth in the beginning but soon loved her and enjoyed her spunk and growth as a character. I'm glad to see that you plan on bringing her back in future stories. This story has a bit of everything but I particularly enjoyed the domestic family moments you created with Bill, Laura, and Elizabeth. You even gave Lee a chance to join the family. I will miss these weekend updates and hope to see you posting something new soon. Thanks again for a great adventure. I enjoyed the ride.

I really loved the domestic scenes myself! I kept finding myself coming back to those scenes, just wanting to listen to the characters talk to each other. And I'm glad I could get you to give an original character a chance. I know what you mean about leeriness, but dammit, at least my Mary Sue is fun! :D

I like the ending very much and I find it suitable. I'd love to read the epilogue if you write it :) Thank you for this loooong AU story - it was fun following the chapters a few times every week.

Just, wow. Saul persuading Sharon to give the stem cell sample, Elizabeth standing up to Laura about flying a viper and then admitting that the reality is a lot different than the fantasy. You have done a wonderful job of showing how Elizabeth has had to grow up so fast and she isn't exactly comfortable with the things she has had to do, although they were all necessary. And the ritual bath was awkward and enlightening and showed growth in both Laura and Bill. Can't wait for the wedding.

Great chapters! "Yet he wanted to bury his fragile fist in those chiseled, petulant features." What a perfect description of Billy and Lee. So much humor and playfulness between Bill and Laura on their "wedding night." They so deserve a bit of happiness. M'rutaq=limp dick is truly LOL and I'm just glad I wasn't drinking coffee at the moment I read that line. And, crafty Bill telling Laura that he will be adding his own wedding vows is perfect.

After a long time im continued with reading your story, and i love it again. The good thing was, i could read 12 chapters in a row.,.. the bad thing is... now i must wait for the next installment... and thats what i hate about your story... its so genius well written, that your fans cant wait for updates... or they force themself not to read for a while... so they can read many chapters in a row after a long pause.
